I really enjoy meeting, treating, and help my patients. Everyone's ailment is equally important to me, from a painful corn to to a limb threatening wound. My office can generally get you in for an appointment fairly quickly and coordinate your care smoothly. We are here to take care of your bunions, hammertoes, joint pain, ingrown nails, gout, toenail fungus, tendonitis, sprains, fractures, wounds, infections, and growing pains. We can also provide orthotics, braces, and corrective orthopedic devices.
Our office provides state of the art resources such as real time radiologic imaging, fluoroscopy, which provides superior imaging of your injury or illness and significantly shortens your visit without sacrificing the quality of your visit. Additional services include deep tissue ultrasound for evaluating soft tissue masses and tissue injuries, doppler ultrasound to evaluate circulation disease, advance wound care treatment, orthotic and braces, rehabilitation from your injury, and membership in local and national organizations to further provide state of the art treatment.
Even though I perform surgery, I will make every effort to manage your problem non-surgically. If in the event surgery is required, we will work with your medical doctor and involved specialist to maximize your health before any procedure is completed. We will then proceed with your procedure in confidence and resolve drawing from my experience and training as a surgeon. This "experience" comes from a foundation of being board certified in Podiatric surgery and medicine as well as holding two separate wound care board certifications with fellowship status. I have also completed three separate postdoctoral mini-fellowships in external fixation for restorative orhopedics and trauma twice in Kurgan, Russia and once in Athens, Greece. In total, I have performed surgery in five countries outside the United States: Russia, Greece, Colombia, Germany, and the Czech Republic. Outside the United States I have lectured and educated in Colombia, Argentina, Russia, Greece, Spain, Poland, Germany, Denmark, Switzerland, Puerto Rico, Egypt, and the Czech Republic.
I am strongly involved with the local medical community which provides me with multiple resources to add to your treatment. I am on active staff with block surgical time at Lakeland Regional Health Medical Center (LRHMC - www.lrmc.com) an 900 bed level two trauma hospital. At LRHMC I served as the medical director of education, research, and development at the wound care which offers advance wound treatment and hyperbaric oxygen therapy. I also serve as the medical director of The Osteomyelitis Center of Central Florida (www.osteomyelitiscenter.com), founder and co-chapter leader of the former central Florida chapter of Save A Leg, Save A Life foundation (SALSAL - www.savealegsavealife.org), and have served as the chairman of the institutional review board (IRB) for ten years.
